What are RTM Bridges?

Raptoreum (RTM) bridges are gateways that allow you to move RTM tokens between different blockchain networks. Currently, Raptoreum offers two bridges:

  1. RTM <> BSC (Binance Smart Chain) Bridge
  2. RTM <> Arthera Bridge

These bridges use a special type of token called wrapped RTM (wRTM) to facilitate the transfer.

How Do RTM Bridges Work?

Basics of Bridging

  1. Wrapping RTM:
    • When you move RTM to another blockchain, it gets "wrapped" into wRTM.
    • Wrapping means converting RTM into an equivalent amount of wRTM on the target blockchain.
    • The bridge ratio for RTM to wRTM is always 1:1, meaning 1 RTM equals 1 wRTM.

Note: This process is fully automated and utilizes Smart Contracts on the BSC and Arthera.

  1. Using the Bridge:
    • You send RTM to a specific address on the Raptoreum blockchain.
    • The bridge locks your RTM and creates the same amount of wRTM on the other blockchain (e.g., BSC or Arthera).
    • When you want to convert back, you send wRTM to the bridge, which burns the wRTM and releases the equivalent RTM back to your wallet on the Raptoreum blockchain.
