Mining with RaptorWings
Understanding Raptoreum Mining
Raptoreum uses the GhostRider algorithm, which is optimized for CPU mining. Unlike many cryptocurrencies that favor GPU mining, Raptoreum is designed to be mined efficiently on consumer-grade processors, making it accessible to everyday users.
Local Mining Setup
Step 1: Choose Your Mining Pool
RaptorWings integrates with several popular Raptoreum mining pools:
- Raptorhash.com
- Raptoreum.zone
- Flockpool.com
Each pool has different characteristics (fee structure, payout threshold, server locations). Choose one that best suits your needs.
Step 2: Configure Mining Parameters
- Select Mining Pool: Choose from the dropdown list or enter a custom pool URL
- Enter Wallet Address: Specify where mining rewards should be sent
- Set Worker Name: Give your miner a unique identifier (optional but recommended)
- Choose Thread Count:
- RaptorWings will suggest an optimal number based on your CPU
- You can adjust this manually if you want to use fewer threads
- Leaving 1-2 threads free helps keep your system responsive
Step 3: Mining Software Selection
RaptorWings includes pre-configured mining software:
- XMRig: Industry-standard CPU miner with GhostRider support
- Automatically configured and optimized for Raptoreum
Step 4: Start Mining!
- Click the "Start Mining" button
- Watch your hashrate appear in the statistics panel
- Monitor temperature and system load
- Mining will continue in the background
